In our news sources in America recently there have been many reports of deranged people taking guns into various places and shooting and killing people. The latest was the tragedy at Ft. Hood, TX where an unstable individual entered the base, killed 3 soldiers and wounded many more. Much has been written about the possible reasons for such deadly behavior including the fact that many years ago a very liberal Democrat President ordered that all military bases in the U. S. be essentially gun-free zones. Fully qualified soldiers are not allowed to carry weapons on their bases here in the U.S. when off duty. Sean Hannity recently had a devastating expose on the contrast between murderous rampages conducted in gun-free zones and the attempts to kill people in areas guarded by armed individuals. The murderers in gun free zones were able to kill with impunity and many lives were lost. Those who attempted to kill people in areas where there were trained and armed citizens or officials were stopped quickly before very many people were killed or harmed. These gun-free zones are clearly places where the political or business or educational leaders of our country have decreed that we can't have weapons of any sort. The evidence is clear: an armed populace prevents mass murders from taking place. This evidence is well documented by John Lott, Jr. in his meticulously researched book entitled, More Guns, Less Crime. He proves conclusively to any reasonable person that an armed citizenry reduces violence significantly.
But, then, what Democrat politician ever listens to reason? I personally in the recent past have appealed reasonably and kindly to Colorado Democrat politicians about potential upcoming votes that would violate our Constitution and common sense only to have Mr. Udall and Ms. Giron ignore my pleas and just vote the Democrat party line. It is very disturbing to have these and other Democrats continually ignore their constituent's wishes and just mindlessly vote what their Washington D.C. party leadership desires.
Dr. Lyle Rossiter has made the charge that liberal politicians are politically insane. See his book The Liberal Mind: the psychological causes of political madness. Dr. Rossiter's book is a very compelling argument for insanity on the part of liberal politicians of which the vast majority are Democrats.
However, I submit to you that the Root of the Problem is not political madness, gun-free zones, attempts to eviscerate the U.S. Constitution, etc., but the Root of the Problem is that we have created God-Free Zones in our world and our country. We have effectively and convincingly declared God to be 'persona-non-grata' in most segments of our world today. Several years ago the Supreme Court of our country ruled that it is against the Constitution to have God or the Bible in our schools. The social and moral problems that permeate our schools today can be traced directly to those insane rulings. The SCOTUS majority opinion brief in the 1978 case concerning whether the Ten Commandments should be allowed to be posted in our schools made is as follows: "This is not a case in which the Ten Commandments are integrated into the school curriculum, where the Bible may constitutionally be used in an appropriate study of history, civilization, ethics, comparative religion, or the like. [See Abington School District v. Schempp.] Posting of religious texts on the wall serves no such educational function. If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce the schoolchildren to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey, the Commandments. However desirable this might be as a matter of private devotion, it is not a permissible state objective under the Establishment Clause of the Constitution."
Wouldn't that be terrible if our schoolchildren were "to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey, the Commandments"? What a blessing if we all were to try to obey God in our lives! The last statement made in the above paragraph reveals the stupidity of people, even judges, who live in God-Free zones: there is no "Establishment Clause" in the Constitution. It is purely the figment of the imagination of lost men and women who live their lives without the wisdom that can only come from God.
Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.Anyone who thinks that they can ignore God and His word and make wise decisions is vividly described by God in Psalm 14. The only way to have eternal happiness and joy is to seek the God who made us. The U.S. Navy used to use what we commonly referred to as NATOPS manuals. These manuals gave us the operating instructions for the weapon systems that we used to fight the enemies of our country. Anyone who would try to operate any of the complex weapons Naval Weapons Systems without training and use of the NATOPS manual for the system involved would be an invitation to disaster. It is the same for life. The operating manual for life given to us by our Creator is the Bible. Anyone who tries to live their life without God and His word, a God-Free Zone in other words, will end up in tragedy. It takes the wisdom of God to raise a family, make sound political decisions, to educate our children, to have proper marriage, and a myriad of other tasks that we have to deal with in life. With all the troubles that life hands out to us on a daily basis, how can we expect to get through them without God? There is an old saying that we have seen on bumper stickers in the past, "Life is full of trouble, and then you die." If you think that this life is difficult, wait till you die and stand before a Thrice Holy God having ignored Him all of your miserable existence here on earth. Living in a God-Free Zone in this life is sure to end up in disaster either here on earth or in an everlasting hell.
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. The only way to escape the torments of hell is to trust Jesus Christ the Lord as your personal Saviour.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.People who live in God-Free Zones end up in tragedy and eventually the lake of fire.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.You have a choice; live God-Free and suffer the wrath of God or trust Jesus as your Saviour and have His blessings and everlasting life.
